What every setup has in common

You install one free or low-cost player app on the device. We never ask you to install anything from an unknown link.
You type your details once. After that, the app remembers them, even after a renewal.

Not sure which device to use?

If you already own a smart TV from the last five years, start there; it costs nothing to try during the free trial. If your TV is older, or the app store on it is thin, a Fire TV Stick or Google TV device is the quickest fix and often makes the whole TV feel faster. Households with several TVs often mix and match: the smart TV app in the living room, a stick in the bedroom, a phone for the commute. That all works on one account, as long as your plan covers the number of screens playing at the same time.

Installation questions

Which device is best for IPTV in Canada?

For most homes, an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K or a Google TV device. They cost less than a month of cable, install every major player app and are easy to replace. If you want the smoothest possible picture and have wired internet near the TV, an NVIDIA SHIELD or a Formuler box is a step up. Our device comparison goes deeper.

Can I use my smart TV without buying anything?

Usually, yes. Samsung, LG and VIDAA TVs have IPTV players in their own app stores, and Android or Google TV sets have the full Play Store. Roku is the exception; see the Roku guide for the workarounds.

Which app should I use?

On Android-based devices, TiviMate and IPTV Smarters Pro are the two we recommend most. On Samsung, LG and VIDAA, look for IBO Player Pro, Smart IPTV or Flix IPTV. On Apple devices, a Smarters-style player from the App Store works well. Each guide names the right options for that device.

What details do I need to set up?

Three things from the email we send after you order: your username, your password and the server URL. Some apps also accept an M3U link, which is in the same email.

Can I move my subscription to a different TV later?

Yes. Sign in on the new device with the same details. The number of screens playing at once is what your plan limits, not the number of devices you install it on.
