About us
A Canadian IPTV provider, and what that actually means
We sell one thing: a subscription that puts live channels and an on-demand library on the television you already own. This page covers who runs it, how it works behind the scenes, and — more usefully — what we won't promise you.
How Wave started
Back in 2014, we were sitting in a living room in Toronto staring at a bloated monthly cable bill just to watch a few weekend games and news channels. It felt ridiculous. Most of the 200 channels on the grid were never even opened, yet the bill went up every single year.
Wave started because there had to be a straightforward, modern way to get television — without the bloated bundles, the overpriced equipment rental fees, and the locked-in contracts from legacy providers.
We built a service focused entirely on what actually matters: stable streams, a clean channel lineup, and zero hidden nonsense. Just solid entertainment on your own terms.
How we work
Four things we've decided about how this service runs. They're the reason some of our pages read differently from the rest of the market.
We don't claim numbers we can't stand behind
You won't find "99.9% uptime guaranteed" or "every channel on earth" on this site, because no provider can honour either. Every figure we publish is one we'd be comfortable being asked about. That costs us a little swagger and buys back something more useful.
Problems get answered by a person
Live television runs along a chain — the broadcast, our servers, your internet provider, the Wi-Fi in your house — and any link can have a bad ten minutes. What separates providers isn't whether that happens. It's whether someone picks up, tells you what went wrong, and fixes it.
The trial comes before the sale
Twenty-four hours on your own television over your own connection tells you more than any paragraph here. We'd rather you find a problem on our time than pay for a year and discover it in week two.
Prices in Canadian dollars, and that's the whole price
No activation fee at checkout, no equipment to rent, nothing to return. What's on the pricing card is what leaves your account.
