Cookie policy

The short version: waveiptv.ca uses almost no cookies. We do not run advertising trackers, we do not sell browsing data, and the pages you read as a visitor set no cookies at all. The details are below.

In plain terms

  • Visitors browsing the site: no cookies are set.
  • No advertising or tracking cookies, from us or from anyone else.
  • No third-party scripts: the site loads its fonts, styles and scripts from our own server.
  • One strictly necessary cookie exists, and only for staff signing in to our private admin area.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognise the same browser on a later visit. Cookies can be useful (keeping you signed in) or intrusive (following you across the web for advertising). Similar technologies include browser "local storage", which works much the same way.

Cookies this website sets

NamePurposeWho gets itHow long
wave_adminKeeps a staff member signed in to the private order dashboard. Marked secure and HTTP-only, so page scripts cannot read it.Wave IPTV staff onlyUntil the browser closes or the staff member signs out

That is the complete list. Ordinary visitors, including customers placing an order, never receive this cookie.

What we do not use

  • No advertising cookies or retargeting pixels (Facebook, Google Ads, TikTok and similar).
  • No third-party analytics cookies.
  • No social media "like" or "share" widgets that track you.
  • No embedded videos from third-party platforms that set their own cookies.

If that ever changes, for example if we add privacy-friendly analytics, we will update this page first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before anything optional is set.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to outside services, most often WhatsApp for support. When you follow one of those links, that service's own cookie and privacy policies apply. We do not control them.

Controlling cookies in your browser

Every modern browser lets you view, block and delete cookies:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Site data.
  • Safari: Settings → Safari → Advanced (or Preferences → Privacy on a Mac).
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.

Blocking all cookies will not affect your use of this website as a visitor.

Your privacy rights

How we handle personal information in general, including your rights under PIPEDA and, if you live in Quebec, Law 25, is set out in our privacy policy. Questions about cookies can be sent to contact@waveiptv.ca.
