Fire TV Stick
How to install IPTV on a Fire TV Stick
Seven steps, about eight minutes. The Fire Stick takes a little more work than other devices because Amazon blocks apps from outside its own store — so the first two steps are permissions, and the rest is quick. You need your Wave IPTV username, password and portal URL before you begin.
Before you start
- Find your activation email. You need three things from it: username, password and portal URL. No email? Check spam, then message support.
- Have the Fire Stick remote to hand and the Fire Stick connected to your Wi-Fi.
- If you use a VPN on your router, switch it off until setup is finished — it interferes with the download step.
Turn on installs from unknown apps
The Fire TV Stick blocks apps that don't come from Amazon's own store, and the IPTV player isn't in it. So this permission comes first — do it now and the rest of the guide runs without interruption.
From the home screen go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options. If you don't see Developer options, go to Settings → My Fire TV → About and click Fire TV Stick seven times — the menu appears after that.

Install the Downloader app
Downloader is a free app from Amazon's own store, and it's how you'll fetch the player. From the home screen, click the search icon, type
Downloader, and install the orange one by AFTVnews.Once it's installed, go back to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options → Install unknown apps and switch Downloader to ON. This tells the Fire Stick that Downloader specifically is allowed to install things.

Open Downloader. Dismiss the first-run prompts until you see the address bar. Click the URL box and type the official IPTV Smarters address:
https://www.iptvsmarters.com/smarters.apkClick Go and wait — it takes a minute or two on most connections.
Type this address exactly. Guides that send you to a shortened link (bit.ly and similar) are asking you to install a file you can't verify, and a shortened link can be repointed at anything later. Going straight to the developer's own domain means you can see what you're downloading.Install it, then delete the file
When the download finishes, the Fire Stick shows an install screen. Click Install, wait for it to complete, then click Done rather than Open.
Downloader will offer to delete the installer file — say yes. The Fire Stick has very little storage and the file has done its job.

Press and hold the Home button, choose Apps, and scroll to the bottom — newly installed apps land there. Open IPTV Smarters and accept the user agreement.
On the next screen choose Login with Xtream Codes API. That's the method that loads your channels, films and series as separate sections rather than one enormous list.

Fill in the four fields using the activation email we sent you:
Any name Whatever you like — this is just the label on the profile. "Living room" works. Username From your Wave IPTV activation email. Password Also from that email. It is case-sensitive. URL The portal address from the same email. Include http://and the port number if one is shown.Click Add User, then select the profile you just created.
Wait for the channel list to load
The app now downloads your channels, films and series. This takes anywhere from thirty seconds to a couple of minutes — you're pulling down tens of thousands of entries, and it only happens once.
When it finishes you'll land on the main screen. Open Live TV and play something to confirm it works.
Worth doing now: star your regular channels as favourites while you're here. Ten minutes of tidying means you never scroll past shopping channels to find the game again.
If something goes wrong
These cover almost every problem people hit on this device. If yours isn't here, message support with the exact wording of any error on screen.
The Downloader app says the download failed
Nine times out of ten this is a typo in the address. It needs to be exact, including https:// at the front and .apk at the end. The Fire Stick remote makes it easy to miss a character.
If the address is right, check the Fire Stick is actually on your Wi-Fi — Settings → Network will confirm it. And if you have a VPN running on your router, turn it off for this step.
I get "app not installed" when I click Install
Usually storage. The Fire TV Stick ships with very little free space, and an older model with a few apps on it can run out. Go to Settings → Applications → Manage installed applications and remove anything you don't use, then try again.
The other cause is a half-finished download. Open Downloader, delete the existing file, and download it fresh.
The login is rejected
Check the password character by character — it's case-sensitive, and the Fire Stick keyboard capitalises the first letter automatically, which catches people out constantly.
Then check the URL field. It needs the full portal address including the port number if your email lists one. Leaving off http:// is the other common mistake.
If all three look right and it still fails, message support with your username — not your password — and we'll confirm the subscription is active from our end.
Channels load but the picture keeps stopping
Test your connection first: Settings → Network, select your Wi-Fi and check the signal strength. The Fire Stick sits behind your TV, which is one of the worst spots in the house for reception. A short HDMI extender — usually supplied in the box — moves it out from behind the panel and fixes this more often than anything else.
If you're running a VPN, switch it off and test again. It adds a longer route for the video and 4K suffers first.
Still stuttering on a good signal? Close the app fully and reopen it. Player apps cache the channel list, and a stale cache can produce a dead stream that's fine for everyone else.
Do I need to repeat this when my subscription renews?
No. Renewing extends the same username and password, so the app carries on working without you touching it. You only repeat this if you factory-reset the Fire Stick or move to a new one.
Guides for other devices
One subscription works on all of them — the app is the only thing that changes.
